BIOMECHANICS
Biomechanics is the science of how the movements of your legs & feet affect your body. The detailed assessment involves taking a full history of the problem, checking the alignment of your whole body combined with gait analysis (how you walk).
Once the assessment has been completed the normal function of the lower limb will be explained to you and how this relates to your symptoms. The management / treatment of your symptoms will then be discussed. This usually involves exercises, orthotics or insoles.
Occasionally a referral to another health care professional can also be made.
